Frequently Asked Questions

Washing your hair with soap, even if it's of good quality, removes the protective hydro-lipid layer from both the hair and scalp because soap is alkaline and has a high pH level (between 8 and 11), which is outside the ideal pH balance for hair and scalp (from 5 to 6). This leads to an increase in the electrical charge of the hair, static electricity, frizz, and breakage. Alkaline products 'open up' the cuticle scales (the outer coating of the hair), leading to damage and difficult recovery of the hair even with intensive conditioners. Additionally, washing your hair with soap leaves deposits of insoluble calcium and magnesium salts on the hair, making it lifeless, dull, stiff, and dry.

Despite the label stating 'shampoo,' in many cases, it's actually disguised soap, with the only similarity being that they are both solid. Soap is unsuitable for hair washing; it damages it. Ingredients: Check the label on the back of the packaging for ingredients. If the list includes oils or names like 'Sodium Palmate,' 'Sodium Olivate,' 'Sodium Cocoate,' it's soap. These are terms for palm oil, olive oil, and coconut oil after saponification. Price: Don't be misled by labels of 'solid shampoo' if the price is low, i.e., up to 15 BGN. Soap uses cheaper ingredients compared to professionally formulated solid shampoos, which require expensive surfactants and conditioning agents specifically designed for use on hair and scalp. Those based on plant ingredients are even more expensive.

The pH level of YOGHHAIR® shampoos ranges between 5.0 and 5.5 as a result of natural pH balancing. It is a fact that shampoos with a lower pH lead to less frizz and generate less negative static electricity on the surface of the hair, resulting in smoother and more manageable hair.

Wet your hair and glide the solid shampoo several times along the scalp and the length of your hair. There's no need to rub. Leave the shampoo aside and massage your scalp with your fingers. You'll activate abundant, dense, and long-lasting lather. Massage and rinse. Repeat if desired. Store your shampoo/conditioner in a dry place to dry between uses, away from splashes and running water.
